Hundreds of social, business and networking contacts take place at each mixer. In addition, your attendance positions you to give (or win) door prizes, or to win the membership cash jackpot that varies from $100 and up each month. Attendance at the mixers ranges from 150 to 400, depending on the jackpot.

Business Lunches are held in March and June; Business Breakfast is held in December; Business After Hours Mixers are held in all other months except September, the month of the Annual Banquet and Membership Meeting.

In cooperation with Riverhill Country Club, members of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce are offered a Dining Membership. This gives members of the Chamber an opportunity to experience all of the dining options at Riverhill Country Club for a low initiation fee and low monthly dues. For new members of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, Hill Country Radio Network offers a free remote and spots (Value: $1,500). For more information (896-1230) and ask for Gordon Ames).

The Chamber has membership in the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Association of Business (State Chamber). This makes vital information available to you on a variety of business and legislative issues affecting your business.

Many hours of research and production go into the publishing or reproduction of different lists and brochures that are useful for marketing and business planning development (refer to "Information and Demographics Available" on back).

Through various Chamber-sponsored events, meetings and discussion of issues, you have the opportunity to make new business and political contacts that can further enhance your business. The Chamber's customer referral service, Employers' Round Table, Legislative Breakfasts and communication with elected officials are invaluable to the community overall, and to you in particular.

Unlimited one-on-one counseling services, for a start-up business, developing new markets or for solving business-related problems are available at no charge through our resources with the Small Business

The Chamber will provide at no cost to you a ribbon cutting or groundbreaking (5 gold-painted shovels) to celebrate the opening of a new business, new owner of a business, relocation of a business or the major expansion of a business. Chamber Ambassadors and other VIP's are invited to attend. Photos appear in, and at the courtesy of, the Kerrville Daily Times on a space available basis.

Clinics, seminars, and workshops are scheduled from time to time, such as financial management, business management, customer service, communication skill development, and health care, to allow Chamber members the opportunity for training in specific areas.

Through the Chamber, you will have a firsthand opportunity to become more knowledgeable about your community. Leadership Kerr County is a nine-month, fee-based community study that prepares individuals to better serve their community as leaders.

Members are encouraged to participate, as they choose, in the Chamber's many special events. These events give our members the opportunity to showcase their products and services through sponsorships and participation that, in turn, benefits their business.

Chamber members are encouraged to volunteer as they desire (opportunities include the Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair or the Point Theater Concession). Each and every time they do, a door opens to community involvement and exposure for their business.
