Our featured speaker:
Dr. Ray Perryman, President and CEO of The Perryman Group, an economic research and analysis firm based in Waco, Texas. He holds a BS in Mathematics from Baylor University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Rice University, as well as an honorary doctorate from the International Institute for Advanced Studies.
He has authored several books, over 400 academic papers, and more than 2,500 trade articles. He publishes an annual subscription forecasting service and monthly newsletter, writes a weekly syndicated column, and hosts a daily radio commentary with frequent appearances on National Public Radio.
Perryman was named Outstanding Young Person of the World for Business and Economic Innovation in 1987, was designated Texan of the Year by the Texas Legislative Conference in 2012, received the Baylor University Distinguished Service Medal in 2013, was inducted into the Texas Leadership Hall of Fame in 2014, received the Cesar E. Chavez Conscience Builders Award in 2016 for his humanitarian efforts, and in 2018 was named the Most Dynamic Economic Researcher in the US by Global Business Insights. In 2019, Dr. Perryman received the Chairman’s Award for Lifetime Achievement in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council and was selected for the “Go Global” Award from the International Trade Council as the outstanding global economic analyst for his work on trade, energy, the environment, and other international issues.

City Manager, City of Kerrville
McDaniel was appointed as city manager of Kerrville in May 2017. Mark has more than 30 years of experience in municipal government management, a tenure that spans seven Texas cities with an emphasis in finance, organizational development, performance improvement, planning, operations management, and economic development. Mark earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Texas, and has also attended Harvard University’s Senior Executive in Local Government Program.
President/CEO, Peterson Health
Edmondson joined Peterson Health in 2019. Previously, he served in leadership roles at Midland Memorial Hospital, leaving as Senior Vice President of Midland Health. He received his BBA degree in Management in 1991 from Texas Tech University, and his MBA in Healthcare Administration in 2001 from William Howard Taft University in Santa Ana, California.
Vice President of Business Development, Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing
Hedger is the third generation of leadership with Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing. She received a bachelor of arts in political science from the American University’s School of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., while playing tennis as a scholarship athlete. Hedger also holds a Masters in Arts and Religion with a concentration in ethics from Yale University, where she served in the Graduate and Professional School Senate and on the Yale Legislative Advocacy Group.

As the economic development executive, Salinas is implementing strategies for business and corporate growth in an array of sectors that are tied to the 2050 Your Voice-Your City comprehensive plan. He is a recipient of the DCI 40-Under-40 Rising Stars in Economic Development in the nation and in 2015 was named the Distinguished Alumnus of Leadership Brownsville and Masons Community Builder of the Year. Salinas earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas-Pan American.
