Political rookie Bill Blackburn has ousted incumbent Kerrville Mayor Bonnie White by 24 percentage points.
Kerrville City Council Place 3 candidate Judy Eychner, who aligned herself with Blackburn during their campaigns, had a nearly identical win against Gary Cooper, who was in White’s camp.
Delayne Sigerman ran unopposed for Place 4 and received 2,943 votes, the most of any candidate. She campaigned with Blackburn and Eychner.
Just more than 31 percent of Kerrville’s registered voters cast ballots in the election, or 4,079 out of the 13,040 who were eligible.
